It's been a while since the last post and there's good reason for that. It's been a whirlwind of projects on board and off. Moving out of the apartment, finishing the new table for Shiloh, finishing a small skiff I'd been building in my parents garage for 2+ years, re-bedding Shiloh's masts, and getting all of the systems ready for work took every moment of free time we've had. I guess there is a good reason most of the big YouTube sailing channels have dedicated cameramen, because if you have a full plate of work to do it will take you twice as long to record and produce videos about it.
Accordingly we haven't produced much evidence of all this work, but some highlights have gone to insta or here:
Yesterday we left our super tight spot in Cove Haven marina and sailed down Narragansett Bay to Newport RI. We tried streaming that trip on the new twitch channel, and figured out that we need a bit more equipment to make watching that sort of thing enjoyable. Sailing is not the fastest moving sport to watch so the ASMR factor probably needs to be higher than an ipad on a crappy stand can provide.
Anyway, hopefully we'll head for Cuttyhunk soon and spend a few days there going over a few more maintenance items. Till next time...
